Our Little Story

Something About Us

Derrick and Marilyn Raphael, the visionaries behind ICON Leadership Institute, have been influential leaders in the talent development space for years. In 2019, they founded ICON Talent Partners, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering high-potential diverse talent, with a special focus on early career development for university and high school students. Their successful efforts in guiding young talent into corporate roles highlighted a critical insight:

there is a significant need for additional support tailored to mid and senior-level professionals from underrepresented backgrounds. This realization led to the creation of ICON Leadership Institute, aiming to bridge that gap by providing advanced leadership development programs that equip diverse leaders to excel and drive meaningful transformation within their organizations.
